What is your favourite food memory from childhood?
I have always been an avid fan of the vegetable sandwich at a street side stall.

What’s your favourite comfort food?
Dim sums and Sushi are two dishes which surely soothe your soul and fill your stomach.

3 reasons why you consider yourself a Foodie?
I find Food irresistible. I cannot control myself when it comes to trying out new cuisines. Moreover, I practise the “Hedonic Hunger’ craving. I eat for taste and pleasure of new flavours rather than satiating my hunger.

What’s the strangest dish you’ve ever tried?
Wedding banquets do unfurl some creative dishes. I tried the Dabeli Dhokla in a wedding, which somehow did impress me.

If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Khichdi and buttermilk are my favourites.

What kind of oil do you use most of all?
Rice Bran oil – Saffola, it’s good for high temperature cooking and works wonders for stir frying and deep frying also.

Which is the most over-rated food cuisine?
Asian food is high priced for sure.

Any quirky food dishes combinations you have invented or love feasting on?
A mom always has to invent and conjure up healthy eating options. I invented the Dhokla Sandwich for my son.

Your take on:
Keto diets – Research has mandated that Keto is not apt for the body especially for Vegetarians.
Intermittent fasting – People who haven’t been able to lose weight despite dieting could benefit. Do consult a nutritionist before you try this mode of fasting.
Fusion food cuisine – Being a foodie, I love experimenting such new varieties.

Which superfoods have impressed you the most?
Tofu impresses me more so for its nutritional value and rich texture.

By having simple home food the next day like Fada Ni khichdi, it’s a super healthy medley khichdi made the Gujarati way.

Homemade Salad and Hummus.
